This week's guest is Paul Spector, a distinguished professor and author of our article, "Employee to Leader Crossover of Workload and Physical Strain." This study showed that, rather than the adage of things rolling downhill, it turns out that stress and pressure on the team actually passes on to the leader, correlating to as much as a 56% increase in workload for the leader. Paul was one of the authors of this study and joins us to discuss the load leaders carry on behalf of their teams, as well as some of the other studies and work he has done in his career on leaders and stress (which you can read about on his blog).
